My small part time project is to create some Rorschach Ink blots. I've always been fascinated with these, and want to reate some of my own and mount them, photograph them and share them with everyone else to make up their own mind of what they see.

 

 

 

Created by a Swiss shrink, Rorschach used these patterns to decypher your mental state and thought process, emotional process and personal state. I've always found them to be rather uplifting, drawing shapes in your head with the different swirls and curves that are created with these press's.

Here are some of the preliminary test I started with Acrylic inks and normal printer paper. The effetcs are nice with varying color ink's but the red turns into a pink after its dried and doesn'y have the same efect unless using it to define eye's or features solely.

There are all for testing paper too see what effect's I can achieve using varyin amounts of water or none at all. The ending reuslts will be printed into my book portfolio, showing my photography  and showing it in varying forms from Portraits to products and a different range of products at that.
